Begin the day of the programme with Mr Hisham interact with the audience by guessing the personalities of each person and be told to remind ourself to know yourself better than anyone in this world. All my friend out there, could you say that u know urself better or could you list down all you positive and also negative characteristics that u have. Enhance the positive attitude and improve the negative thoughts or manner. This will make u a better n successful person.
There are lots of aspects that are very important in public speaking. We must be prepared and practice all the time to be able to deliver a good and effective public speaking so that people will remember and clearly get the messages u wants to convey. In order to deliver a good speech in front of the crowds with great confident level and speak calmly, there are 6 elements that we should focus which are:
· Volume
-suitable volume of voice projection for all the audience to listen, control the voice to emphasis important points or to show emotions
· Rate
-not too fast or too slow and must be effectively used the rate at different situation or occasion.
-for example, when showing important of an idea, it must be done slowly and try to alter the delivery by pausing for a moment and then continue.
- IMPORTANT REMINDER: Try to avoid using fillers such as you know..basically..ermmm.
· Emphasis
-the usage of right tone and pitch is very important to stress the key point
-do not emphasize all the words equally because it will sound weird. Believe me k!
· Articulation
-is actually speaker able to express one’s thought clearly
-remember that pronunciations are all that matters because mispronunciation can hurt ur credibility as a speaker and also can make a different meanings sometimes.
- So, Practice, Practice and Practice to Master the Public Speaking!
· Organization
-organize all the points or ideas accordingly and clearly have the plot to tell the story
· Word choice
-use simple words and familiar words to avoid misunderstanding and try to avoid using jargons that will make u in trouble if u don’t understand the meaning and wrongly used.
-improve the vocabulary and try to use interesting and positive words in ur presentation.
